Steps To Block/ Report Unauthorised Transactions

Blocking your Debit card

Step 1 : Get assistance – Contact Centre

• Customers from India shall dial 1800-425-1199 or 1800-420-1199
• Customers from abroad shall dial +91-484- 2630994 or +91-484-2630995 to avail the services of Contact Center

Step 2 : Self Service -FedMobile ( Mobile Banking )

• Block debit card instantly using FedMobile, Mobile banking facility.
• Select the menu option Account Services ‐ Manage Debit Card. The list of cards issued in account will be displayed.
  Scroll and select the card, want to block and click Block this card.

Step 3 : Self Service -FedNet (Internet Banking)

• Block debit card instantly using FedNet, Internet Banking facility.
• Select the menu option Debit Card Services ‐ Block Debit Card. The list of cards issued in account will be displayed.
  Select the card, want to block and click Submit.

Step 4 : Self Service – SMS

• Send SMS from the mobile number registered in the following format to the number 5676762 OR 9895088888
• BLOCK<space>Last Four Digits of your Debit Card
• The particular debit card linked to the registered mobile number will be blocked.
• An SMS confirmation will be received instantly on the registered mobile number of the customer.

Step 1 : Get assistance – Contact Centre

Step 2 : Self Service -FedNet ( Internet Banking )

• Block Credit card instantly using FedNet, Internet Banking facility.
  • Login to FedNet using valid credentials.
  • Select Credit Card module from the home screen.
  • Under Credit Card Management services, select Manage Card.
  • Click on the Report Missing Card under Manage Card section.
  • Customers can mention the details of Missing/Stolen Card and can report a  lost/stolen card and apply for a new card.

Reporting of transaction/s not done by you

Step 1 : Reporting by calling at Contact Centre

• To report Credit card /Debit card /Internet Banking/ Mobile Banking transactions, that are not done by customer,
  report at 1860-419-1199 to avail the services of Contact Centre.

 Step 2 : Reporting via e-mail

• Customers may e-mail to [email protected]. 

 Step 3 : Reporting via sending an SMS

• By sending an SMS to 9895088888 from registered mobile number in the format given below:

Federal Bank History

The Federal Bank Limited (the erstwhile Travancore Federal Bank Limited) was incorporated with an authorized capital of ₹5,000 at Nedumpuram, a place near Thiruvalla in Central Travancore on 23 April 1931 under the Travancore Companies Act. It started business of auction-chitty and other banking transactions connected with agriculture and industry.

The bank was named Federal Bank Limited on 2 December 1949, after completing the formalities of Banking Regulation Act, 1949. It is considered as one of the major Indian commercial banks in the private sector having more than thousand branches and ATMs spread across different States in India. Between 1963 and 1970, Federal Bank took over Chalakudy Public Bank (est. 20 July 1929 in Chalakudy), Cochin Union Bank (est. 1963) in Thrissur, Alleppey Bank (est. 1964; Alappuzha), St. George Union Bank (est. 1965) in Puthenpally, and Marthandam Commercial Bank (est. 1968) in Thiruvananthapuram. The bank launched its initial public offering in 1994

The bank became a Scheduled Commercial Bank in 1970, which also coincided with the Silver Jubilee Year, since the bank commenced its operation in Aluva and is currently the fourth largest bank in India in terms of capital base.

In January 2008, Federal Bank opened its first overseas representative office in Abu Dhabi.

In November 2016, Federal Bank opened its second UAE representative office, in Dubai.
